Thousands upon thousands of Brazilians have flocked to the shores of Philadelphia this week for Brazil's match against Haiti tonight in the World Cup. Not only will they get an opportunity to watch A Seleção in the World Cup, but they also get to do it in the greatest stadium that America has to offer in the most wonderful city in the world. The city where America--a beacon of hope, and the #1 world superpower--was born. A city rich in history, culture, and sports greatness. Nothing represents the blend of history, culture, and sports greatness quite like Rocky Balboa.
Over the years, it has become common practice for giant groups of visiting sports fans to congregate on the steps of the Art Museum in Philadelphia. Not only does it give you one of the more picturesque views of Philadelphia as you're staring down the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, but it is also one of the most iconic spots in town due to Rocky.
It has also become the kiss of death for many fans as their teams fall victim to the "Rocky Curse". Whether these fans have hostile intentions or not, seemingly every fanbase who has "taken over" the Rocky Steps has left Philadelphia as a loser. The Minnesota Vikings, the New England Patriots, the San Francisco 49ers, the Washington Commanders. Most recently, Ecuador in the World Cup. The people of Brazil are not willing to take that risk of becoming another statistic.

You can say you don't believe in curses all you want, but at some point you have to learn your lesson and just stop taking that risk. So credit to the people of Brazil for being the first fanbase to properly give the Rocky Curse the respect it deserves.
